Dorothee Liebschers Malerei bewegt sich zwischen Erinnerung, Wirklichkeit und Imagination. Architektur und Landschaft erscheinen dabei nicht als Gegensätze, sondern als wandelbare Räume, in denen sich menschliche Ordnung und die Eigenbewegung der Natur überlagern. In „Highlight“ und „Axis of Light“ wird Licht zum verbindenden Element zwischen gebautem Raum, Vegetation und Horizont. Auch „Aurora III“ greift diesen Schwebezustand auf: Über einem tiefen Horizont erscheinen Polarlichter als flüchtige Zeichen von Veränderung, Weite und einer noch offenen Zukunft.

Dorothee Liebscher’s painting moves between memory, reality, and imagination. Architecture and landscape do not appear as opposites, but as mutable spaces in which human order and the autonomous forces of nature overlap. In “Highlight” and “Axis of Light,” light becomes the connecting element between built space, vegetation, and horizon. “Aurora III” also takes up this suspended state: above a low horizon, the northern lights appear as fleeting signs of change, vastness, and a future that remains open.
